Can you top this? If you think that the transit of Pluto through Sagittarius until the year 2008 isn't going to totally blow organized religion to kingdom come, wait till you hear this one:

Roman Catholic priest Father Dennis Brennan announced to his parisioners recently that they would henceforth be referring to him as Father Denise, as he was undergoing a sex change operation.

First of all you have to know that the passage of Pluto through Sagittarius colors not only the year and the century, but the millennium.

It means everybody is prejudiced against somebody else. It's going to completely destroy and rebuild the professions of law and jurisprudence (thanks toe th OJ Simpson trial), long distance travel( thanks to terrorists and those annoying x-ray machines at airports), education and publishing. It is also making Bette Midler very tired.

Pluto is designed to destroy faith by showing that all beliefe is just that. Belief.

It makes everybody else think that you have more power than you do, and the house in which it occurs in your own horoscope is the place where you will be faced with the threat of total annihilation. It is that feeling that is responsible for the alternating emotions of courage and cowardice, inspiration and defeat that you may feel now.

 

This is the mystery and power of Pluto. But how could such a crippling event ever serve to inspire you? If happiness is the goal of all beings, then how could the effect of such a force be construed as positive in any way?

The magic behind it is simply that in the midst of suffering, you are being infused with the determination to beat the odds, fix what is broken and heal what is sick.

Pluto is all about truth -- facing the light and seeing what your personal truth really is. It's about weighing your heart against a feather and knowing where the lies are - the lies that remain lodged in your heart.

Pluto in Sagittarius is brain surgery.

It's all about the healing of the mind despite the crumbling of belief systems.

As we move into and through the twenty-first century, everything that we ever thought was absolutely, one hundred percent, eternally true needs to be reexamined. By the time Pluto leaves Sagittarius in 2008, your mind will have gone through the cosmic shredder, and human consciousness will be ready to be lifted from the cultural pickle juice it's been steeping in for God knows how long.

Enlightenment has many paths, all seeking to converge on the same bright beam of truth that blazes from somewhere at the heart of the universe. Each approach to self-knowledge or human relationships is an avenue leading to that same place.

We are all faced with with reevaluating these systems. Are there any goals that we can all share together as people fascinated with the pursuit of truth?

Religious or philosophical beliefs aside, if true healing is possible, then what's the dish? What does all that mean in real life terms? Healing involves the gaining of confidence. It's about waking up to your creative potential and fulfilling yourself.

You can't do that unless you possess the confidence that you're a whole person capable of making decisions based on real insights and healthy instincts.

Strength, confidence and healing will come only from looking deeply at all aspects of yourself. If we set out to achieve a true healing in ourselves, then certainly part of that healing will involve an opening of the heart, a fearless desire to share and trust.

To achieve our goal we must go to the heart of ourselves, face the truths of our wishes and desires, no matter how terrifying some of them are. But if we keep our eyes on the goal, we shall eventually rise up again into the light of triumph.

That is the challenge before us.
