When they say that blood is thicker than ragu it is so damned true.

And it's even worse to imagine that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Those cliches are sometimes horrible, and you will probably struggle against the truth of them, because that's what this whole Pluto thing is telling you.

How doomed are we to repeat the patterns of our parents?

Pluto in the solar fourth house is very family dominated, and your need to be connected to family may well be hidden in a tremendous defensive posture to such a degree that you will consciously distance yourself from them, move away, far away, either geographically or emotionally, stop talking to them, or they stop talking to you, or in some way shape fashion or form you make a strong and conscious attempt to break with the family patterns.

IF there's a criminal element in the family, that's hard to live down, that's really hard to live down. Or horrible racism or religious prejudice. Also very hard to live down, because you think you don't have these awful prejudices, you hate ethnic jokes or you can't stand when people say things against groups, but deep down, privately you hear yourself saying and thinking those very same things. Hard hard patterns to break.

It's not only criminal or low mental patterns that are hard to break. But all the early teachings, the emotional responses, those beliefs in trusting only the family that you must stay with and protect the family that you are somehow forever bound and bonded to the bunch of banshees into whose house you happened to drop when the stork opened its beak to burp and you landed in the living room of Doris and Charley whatchamacallit on the corner of Elm and Maple and now you're supposed to exchange gifts with these people and support and defend them no matter how horrible they are.

Well, it's a toughie. Especially when they reject you for just trying to survive their influence.

Now if none of this makes any sense to you at all and you had a totally wonderful childhood and nobody ever said a bad word about anybody else, never fudged on their IRS or made false insurance claims or even took a string bean out of the bin at the super market, then aren't you one of the lucky Virgos who have nothing to live down about your childhood.

But, if you're like 99.9 percent of the rest of the members of your sign, this current motion ofthe planet Pluto will further reveal to you the power of genetics and early environment on your behavior today.

Not that you have to totally go Freud and live Inthe past and blame your parents for everything because that's just as stunted a growth as not facing the damage.

You have to strive to be more and more conscious of the fact that your genetics, your roots, your ethnic, racial, religious and national heritage, the sociological conditions and times in which you were born, have shaped you so profoundly that right now, today these factors are operating on all your relationships.

It's only to your advantage to get hip.
